Privacy, in plain language.

mogged is a Johannesburg web studio operated by Adam Sacharowitz. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

  • What you send through the contact form: your name, email or WhatsApp number, your website link, and your message
  • Standard analytics and advertising data via cookies, including the Meta Pixel, which records that a device visited pages on this site
  • If you message us on WhatsApp or email, the contents of that conversation

What we use it for

  • Replying to you and preparing the quote or roast you asked for
  • Basic measurement of which pages and adverts bring visitors, so we stop paying for the ones that do not
  • Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone outside the tools named here

Where it lives and how long

Form submissions are stored in our database (Cloudflare) and read only by us. Conversations live in WhatsApp and email. We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months so returning clients do not have to repeat themselves, then delete them.

Advertising data is processed by Meta under their own data policy. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Facebook settings, and block cookies in your browser without breaking this site.

Your rights under POPIA

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will do it within a week, no forms, no fee.

If you believe we have mishandled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
